You could try suggesting going to the gym together or going for walks. Make it sound like a fun activity that you want to do with her or him. Or tell her you feel like you need to lose some weight or get into shape and see if she will offer to help and go to the gym with you. trust me girls have enough body issues, and the one person they look to for comfort is people their close to. she would be very mad if you told her she was fat. also try steering her away from junk food by eating it yourself. if she sees you doing it with her she won’t suspect anything. girls can be manipulative, you just have to learn to play the same game.
